November is when the holiday movie season really starts, and 2026 has something for almost every audience: a major young-adult franchise prequel, one of the most expensive Indian films ever made, a returning comedy series, and a new Disney animated original. Here are the November 2026 releases to know about.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping — November 20
The biggest Hollywood release of the month is The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, based on Suzanne Collins's prequel novel that follows a young Haymitch Abernathy during the 50th Hunger Games. Francis Lawrence, who directed most of the series, returns, with Joseph Zada as Haymitch alongside Whitney Peak, Jesse Plemons and Elle Fanning. Expect this to dominate the box office in late November.
Ramayana: Part 1 — November 8
Ramayana: Part 1 is Nitesh Tiwari's two-part adaptation of the Indian epic, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita. It is one of the most expensive Indian films ever produced and is timed around Diwali. Some schedules list November 6, so check the movie page close to release. The second part is already scheduled for October 2027.

Family and comedy picks
Thanksgiving week in the US brings two crowd-pleasers on November 25. Focker In-Law is the fourth Meet the Parents film, with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro returning and Ariana Grande joining the cast. Hexed is an original animated film from Walt Disney Animation Studios. Earlier in the month, on November 6, Warner Bros. releases an animated take on Dr. Seuss's The Cat in the Hat, with Bill Hader voicing the Cat.

- How to Rob a Bank (Nov 13) — a heist thriller from David Leitch starring Nicholas Hoult.
- Godzilla Minus Zero (Nov 6) — Takashi Yamazaki's follow-up to the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One.
On streaming
Prime Video premieres Madden on November 18, David O. Russell's biopic with Nicolas Cage as NFL legend John Madden. Netflix has Heartland with Jessica Chastain (Nov 13), the animated fantasy Steps (Nov 20) and Peter Berg's World War II sports drama The Mosquito Bowl (Nov 25). Apple TV releases Being Heumann, about disability rights activist Judith Heumann.
More Indian releases
Sooraj Barjatya, the director of Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, returns with the family romance Yeh Prem Mol Liya starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari on November 27, the same day as Emraan Hashmi's action thriller Gunmaaster G9. In Tamil, Vetrimaaran's Arasan with Silambarasan and Vijay Sethupathi opens on November 6.
